Double Exposed: Photography and Juxtapositions

A five day lesson plan for high school age students teaching strategies of juxtaposition and digital double exposures created solely with mobile devices, to express ideas about the environment. Students will get outside, discuss global issues, learn the history of photography, utilize Instagram as a sharing and discussion platform, and reflect in daily writing assignments.

Reflection

Lesson planning can become quite an undertaking sometimes. It's fun to consider new and different types of lessons. Creating a full lesson plan with samples and well-researched resources as well can be quite the workload. Being able to work with a group allowed a great opportunity to write a full lesson with all of the necessary resources and multiple teacher samples. Now we have a full lesson that is ready to be taught. I look forward to using this lesson in the future or working it into a longer unit on photography.
